Background :
My background is originally as a mechanical engineer who took an interest in robotic systems. My years since graduation have been spent digging into the design and execution of embedded systems from both a hardware and software perspective. I spent four years with Portal Instruments learning the ins and outs of great electrical and software design for commercial embedded products. My current drive is to work with the algorithms to both control physical systems motion and allow them to independently make intelligent decisions.
Goals :
Learn how to implement cutting-edge algorithms to enable elegant robotic control
Currently exploring the applications of reinforcement learning
Train agents in physically accurate simulation and execute learned policy on hardware
